BID Legislation – The purpose of the BID Legislation project is to put the BID projects into a statutory and sustainable footing in Albania. The AADF is working closely the Albanian Government, local Municipalities, international partners, and BID Associations in Korca, Shkodra, Berat, Kruja, Tirana in order to improve the legal framework for such initiatives. This project was approved in March 2015 and is expected to be completed in 2016.

The law “On the development of business areas (BID)” Approval
A great news that motivates us to do more!
On May 14th 2020, the Albanian Parliament approved in majority of votes the law “On the development of business areas (BID)”. This is the focal point of our 9-year effort to implement an innovative, active and inspiring development model.
Since 2011, we have developed 8 BID/TID Areas all over Albania, contributing in infrastructure improvement, enhancement of public services and bringing a better business climate for businesses, residents and visitors!
This law, as the result of a tireless legislative work with our partners at all levels, legitimizes our vision to support the economy and the culture by revitalizing our cities.
The success of this model during the years, was made possible with the continuous collaboration and support of the institutions, businesses of the areas and our partners!

BID Legislation Consultative Meeting
On November 1st 2016, AADF organized a consultative meeting with Tirana Municipality regarding BID Legislation. Mr. Erion Veliaj, the Mayor of Tirana, participated in the meeting, as well as representatives from AADF and Tirana Municipality. This meeting is also attended from representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism and Entrepreneurship, which follow this process for finalizing the approval of the Law. Legal office contracted from the AADF for co-drafting BID Law, Kalo & Associates, collected the proposed suggestions from Municipality of Tirana.
