The Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) is pleased to announce a new career opportunity for the position of Communications Expert. BASIC PURPOSE The Communications Expert is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Foundation’s communication and public relations strategy. The role ensures consistent, clear, and impactful messaging across all platforms, strengthens the visibility and reputation of the Foundation, and supports the successful implementation of its mission and programs through effective media outreach, stakeholder engagement, and content development. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the overall communications strategy of AADF, ensuring consistent messaging across a diverse portfolio of 40+ national projects in areas such as education, leadership, entrepreneurship, tourism, and cultural heritage. Develop, implement, and oversee integrated communications plans and campaigns across all channels: corporate communications, media relations, digital media, events, publications, website, and internal communications. Ensure brand consistency and adherence to AADF’s visual and editorial guidelines across all communications materials and platforms. Direct external communications and public diplomacy efforts, including outreach campaigns and strategic events, in close collaboration with international partners, government institutions, and other organizations. Generate compelling multimedia content that showcases beneficiary stories, impact data, and program results. Identify new angles for storytelling and develop fresh, creative approaches to enhance visibility. Lead the development of AADF’s digital presence, including editorial planning and strategy for social media channels. Supervise content creators, digital teams, and agencies to deliver high- quality content and campaigns across all platforms. Oversee website development and content management to ensure timely updates, relevance, and audience engagement. Serve as the primary liaison for external relations, managing media inquiries, interviews, press releases, and media opportunities. Built and retain relationships and contact with media, industry representatives. Monitor media coverage, evaluate performance of campaigns, and provide regular reports and recommendations for ongoing improvement. Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders, including government bodies, private sector partners, international donors, and media outlets. Plan and execute high-visibility events at the national level – including conferences, official visits, site inaugurations, and anniversary celebrations. Plan, budget, and manage the annual communications and media activity calendar of the Foundation, including budgeting and planning for project-specific communication needs. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE University degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field +8 years of experience in Communications Proven experience in the field of communications, including content development, media relations, and strategic planning Strong knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and social media strategy Experience working in or with communication agencies is considered an advantage Fluency in written and spoken English Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Strong research and analytical abilities, with attention to clarity and messaging Well-developed organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical standards.
