Biography Bill Schwab is Chair of Paul Hastings’ Boston office and a Partner in the firm’s Private Equity practice. He advises leading private equity and private credit funds and their portfolio companies on structured preferred and growth equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, co-investments, and secondary transactions. Bill also regularly represents searchers, search fund investors, and search fund companies, advising on fundraising, acquisitions, company operations, and exit strategies, and serves as outside general counsel to both early-stage and established private companies. Throughout his career, he has advised prominent investment firms and private companies across a broad range of complex transactions and strategic matters. Bill earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Carthage College.
