The School of Directors Certifies the Second Cohort of the Training Program for Preschool Education

On July 1, 2026, the School of Directors held the certification ceremony for the Second Cohort of the Mandatory Training Program for directors of preschool education institutions, marking the successful completion of another important cycle of professional development in this sector.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education, Ms. Mirela Kumbaro, the Acting Mayor of Tirana, Ms. Anuela Ristani, representatives of the Ministry of Education, members of the Board of the School of Directors, the trainer team, and institutional partners.

The School of Directors is an important project in the field of education, aimed at strengthening educational leadership in Albania through training, certification, and continuous professional development for directors and candidates for leadership positions in educational institutions. As a professional qualification model, it focuses on leadership skills, institutional management, strategic planning, cooperation with the community, and the continuous improvement of the quality of education services.

In an education system where the quality of leadership directly affects the functioning of institutions, the support provided to teachers, and the experience of children and students, the School of Directors offers a structured and practice-oriented approach to strengthening leadership capacities. Its programs are not limited to theoretical training; they are closely linked to the realities of educational institutions, guiding participants toward concrete solutions and improved day-to-day management practices.

The Mandatory Training Program for Preschool Education, implemented during the period October 17, 2025 – April 4, 2026, was successfully completed by 74 directors and candidates for director positions in preschool institutions from across Albania. During the program, participants developed 54 practical projects in the institutions where they work, addressing concrete needs and contributing to the improvement of institutional organization, cooperation with parents and the community, and the quality of the educational process.

These projects demonstrate the importance of a training model that connects professional development with real practice on the ground. Through this approach, directors are not only beneficiaries of a qualification program, but active agents of change within their institutions, contributing to the creation of higher-quality, more inclusive, and more supportive environments for children’s development.

AADF’s financial support for the School of Directors is part of the Foundation’s long-term commitment to strengthening the quality of education in Albania. AADF believes that investing in prepared and professional educational leaders creates broad impact, as strong leadership in educational institutions influences the quality of teaching, institutional culture, and the improvement of services offered to children and communities.

The certification of the Second Cohort of the Training Program for Preschool Education represents another step toward consolidating the School of Directors as a sustainable model of professional qualification in the education sector. The growing interest in the program and the results achieved by participants confirm the importance of continuing to invest in a new culture of leadership, where professional development, reflection on practice, and continuous improvement are essential elements for raising the quality of education.
