Communication Manager of 42 Tirana Campus – Position Details

Position Overview

42 is a global educational network based on peer learning, without teachers. Its innovative pedagogy
enables individuals, regardless of their educational background, to pursue careers in IT. 42 Tirana
Campus, supported by the AADF and Tirana Municipality, aims to enhance education through cutting-
edge technology, a high-quality curriculum, and opportunities for both professional and personal
growth.

42 Tirana seeks to bridge the digital divide, empower aspiring tech professionals, and drive the growth
of Albania’s tech industry.

Basic Purpose

The Communication Manager (hereinafter referred to as CM) is responsible for interaction with the
public and community. CM will play a vital role in elevating campus’ profile. This role will be essential in
attracting future students, organizing impactful events, managing media relationships, and promoting
the campus’s unique mission across various platforms.

Principal Responsibilities

– Public Engagement: Developing and executing a communication strategy.
– Student Engagement: Developing and executing strategies to attract prospective students, ensuring
a steady increase in applications and registrations in line with 42’s guidelines.
– Event Organization: Planning, coordinating, and hosting events, both within the campus and
externally, to promote 42 Tirana’s values and objectives, adhering to 42’s brand standards.
– Media and Public Relations: Serving as the primary contact for press, media, and influencers,
building positive relationships to boost campus visibility, and following 42’s communication
guidelines.
– Social Media Management: Leading social media strategy and content creation to engage
audiences, increase brand awareness, and drive enrollment while maintaining alignment with 42’s
principles.
– Content Creation: Developing and managing content across platforms, ensuring messaging
consistency and tone that align with the 42 Tirana brand and adhere to 42’s global communication
guidelines.

Secondary Responsibilities

– Media Monitoring & Market Research: Keeping track of media coverage related to the Campus and
conducting research to understand the needs and preferences of the target audience.
– Alumni Relations: Offering support to develop and maintain relationships with alumni, creating
platforms for networking and collaboration.

Required Knowledge and Experience

-Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in communication or public relations role, ideally
within the sector of education or tech industries.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
effectively.
– Proficiency in social media platforms and tools; experience with event planning and content
creation.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficient in writing in English (knowledge of French is a plus).
– Strong understanding of current trends and technologies.
– Ability to take initiative, listen actively, and propose creative solutions.
– Self-motivated and detail – oriented.
– Strong relational skills and the ability to build rapport.
– Capable of navigating complex situations with sensitivity and flexibility.
