16/05/2025 Education & Leadership President Macron Visits 42 Tirana 42 Tirana had the honor of welcoming the French President, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, who visited the campus alongside Albanian Prime Minister Mr. Edi Rama. The visit marked a proud milestone for 42 Tirana, a franchise of the world-renowned 42 network born in France and brought to life in Albania through the partnership of the AADF, the Municipality of Tirana, and the Pyramid Center. President Macron and Prime Minister Rama were greeted by Ms. Donjeta Sahatçiu, Director of 42 Tirana. Joining them were key figures instrumental in launching the school, including Mr. Xavier Niel, founder of the 42 network; Mr. Martin Mata and Mr. Aleksandër Sarapuli, Co-CEOs of the AADF; Ms. Anuela Ristani, Acting Mayor of Tirana; and Ms. Shqipe Berisha, Director of the Pyramid Center, along with ambassadors, ministers, and other guests. As they moved through the vibrant campus, alive with students immersed in their projects, the guests experienced firsthand the unique energy that defines 42 Tirana. The visit offered a glimpse into a new kind of education: no teachers, no tuition, no classrooms, just collaboration and hands-on problem-solving. It is a model that empowers young Albanians to develop the skills and mindset needed to shape the future of tech, both locally and globally. Before departing, President Macron and Prime Minister Rama paused to share a few words with the students. They closed the visit with a few words to the students, recognizing the effort and ambition driving the 42 Tirana community. This visit was a powerful recognition of the potential within Albania’s youth and a celebration of a place where that potential is being transformed into real, world-changing talent. Gallery
