The Regional Restoration Camp was held in Berat from 15th of May until 27th of May 2017. Along with other camps carried out in Albania, this activity has been undertaken in a full cooperation among Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), CHWB Albania, the Albanian Ministry of Culture and the Faculty of History and Philology at the University of Tirana (UT). The two-week RRC program combined theoretical modules through engaging lectures, exercises and presentations along with practical hands-on work on historical monuments. Specifically, participants at the RRC gained basic skills in surveying monuments, methods of understanding the pathologies and defining the conservation approach, characteristics of stone, wood and plaster, usage of culture heritage as a platform for economic development and Practical skills in using traditional tools. During two weeks program, 24 students participated at the RRC in Berat of which 12 Albanians.
