Biography Sokol Ymeri is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology, education, and project management. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Tirana, earned in 2006, and has furthered his education with leadership and sustainable development training at prestigious institutions such as Harvard and Cambridge. With an 18-year career spanning the public and private sectors, Ymeri has made significant contributions to the management, integration, and innovation of technology solutions, as well as the development of technology-driven educational policies. His career began at the Albanian Telegraphic Agency, where he quickly rose to the position of Technical Director. He then served for six years as Head of the Technology in Education Sector at the Ministry of Education and Sports, where he played a crucial role in enhancing technological infrastructure and managing critical education systems. Additionally, he has been a member of the Administrative Council of the Polytechnic University of Tirana and has worked as a consultant on various projects in the fields of information technology and education. In 2016, Ymeri joined the AADF as a Project Manager, successfully leading several key initiatives aimed at improving education and increasing digital capacity in Albania. In 2023, he was appointed Program Manager, where he continues to play a pivotal role in leading the team for the development and implementation of strategic projects that contribute to the transformation of the education, information technology, tourism, culture, and entrepreneurship sectors in Albania.
