13/09/2022 Culture & Eco Tourism AADF and Ministry of Culture hold public hearing to introduce Integrated Management Plan to stakeholders The AADF and the Ministry of Culture held a public hearing on September 13th to introduce the Integrated Management Plan of Archaeological Areas A and B in Durrës to all concerned stakeholders. The attendees included representatives from diverse government agencies, the local community, cultural heritage experts, local organizations, university representatives, and various other stakeholders. Crafted by the Italian consulting firm Ars Progetti and entirely financed by the AADF, the plan outlines a vision to “preserve the heritage of more than 3,000 years of continuous settlement in the city of Durrës.” It aims to make this heritage accessible to everyone, highlighting its significance while carefully balancing the preservation of cultural heritage, tourism, and urban development over the next fifteen years.
