Junior Achievement of Albania Celebrates New Beginnings and Young Entrepreneurs at The Pyramid of Tirana

In a significant step towards fostering entrepreneurship and business acumen among Albanian youth, Junior Achievement of Albania (JAA) inaugurated its new premises at the heart of the tech hub, the Pyramid of Tirana. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Michael Granoff, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), the strategic investor behind JAA’s impactful initiatives and the AADF Co-CEOs Mr. Martin Mata and Mr. Aleksander Sarapuli.

The new location pulses with the energy of the surrounding innovative projects, symbolizing a fresh chapter for JAA in empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. As a key strategic investment of the AADF, JAA is dedicated to enhancing financial education and preparing students for successful futures in a global economy. Annually, the program impacts hundreds of thousands of students across Albania, from grades 1-12.

The celebration of JAA’s new home coincided with the GEN–E Albania 2024: the 13th JAA Entrepreneurship Festival, a pinnacle event showcasing the entrepreneurial talents of Albania’s youth. Held at the same venue, the festival featured 120 finalists from high schools across the nation, who represented the top tier of over 5,000 students who participated in JAA’s practical entrepreneurship education this year.

Mr. Granoff, along with the Minister of Education and Sports, Mrs. Ogerta Manastirliu, took part in the festivities, engaging with the young entrepreneurs. They explored the stands of student companies, where Mr. Granoff offered his insights and encouragement to inquisitive and aspiring business leaders. The event was also attended by Mr. Dritan Mustafa, Executive Director of Tirana Bank, who joined Mr. Granoff in awarding the prize for the Best JAA Students’ Company of the Year.

As JAA continues to grow and inspire, the new premises at the Pyramid of Tirana stand as a beacon of innovation and hope, promising a future where young Albanians are equipped to navigate and succeed in the ever-evolving economic landscape.
