03/07/2020 Culture & Eco Tourism National Imaging Unit Reconstruction Opens Path to Preserve Valuable Cultural Artifacts On June 30th, 2020, the reconstruction of the National Imaging unit, a vital element of the second phase of the “Empowering Museums Through Technology” project, was successfully finalized. The AADF allocated a budget of $650,000 for this project to transform it into a hub for the digitization of cultural heritage. The experts operating within the National Imaging Unit will now have access to cutting-edge equipment and international expertise, enabling them to comprehensively address the full range of cultural artifacts throughout the country. Cultural Heritage Imaging played a pivotal role by providing valuable assistance throughout the project and reconstruction phases. With the reconstruction now completed, the imaging equipment will be installed and the training of Albanian experts in the field of cultural heritage imaging will begin. Gallery
