Fostering Digital Literacy: Paving the Way for a better future through Digital Education and Technological Skills

Computational thinking and digital education have become crucial aspects of our lives, forming an essential skill set for a successful career. The AADF initiated the ElementIT project to tackle this issue and to provide young children with the essential technological skills required for a successful career path in the future.

In collaboration with the Albanian Government, this project is introducing an ICT curriculum to elementary education in Albania in an effort to narrow the digital divide in the country. The project’s pilot phase involves 100 schools, with a target of expanding to 1,100 schools nationwide. The AADF will also supply computer equipment for 100 IT labs in elementary schools, offer four years of access to an online learning platform, and provide training for ICT curriculum teachers.

This project expands upon the AADF’s existing education portfolio and extends its contribution to technological skills. Being engaged at an early stage offers the AADF a distinct opportunity to shape a future of sustainable education and empower Albanian students to thrive in the global economy.
