Albanian-American Development Foundation (hereinafter referred to as “AADF” “us” “we” or “our”) is committed to respecting your privacy and to complying with all applicable data protection and privacy laws.

The objective of this policy is to inform you how we handle your personal data. Our goal is to protect personal information you provide us whenever you contact us, visit or use our website. By visiting or using this website, you agree to these policies and practices.

AADF may amend or update this Privacy Policy in the future. Any amendment to our Privacy Policy will become effective upon its publication on AADF website.

  1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

We collect and process personal data from individuals only as necessary in the exercise of AADF’s legitimate interests, functions and responsibilities as a private, non-profit organization governed by a Board of Trustees, whose mission is to facilitate the development of a sustainable private sector economy and a democratic society in Albania.

 

  1. Website access

When visiting our website, the browser automatically transmits data that is saved in a log file. AADF itself processes only the data that is technically required in order to display the website correctly and to ensure its stability and security. When accessing our website, the data stored includes, but is not limited to, the page that is viewed, the IP address of the accessing device, the page from which the user was redirected, the date and time of access. The data in the log file is automatically deleted after 4 (four) months.

We also may collect information about your online activity on our website. This statistical and analytical information is collected on an aggregate and non-individual specific basis of all browsers who visit the website, unless you choose to provide to us your individual information. No personal data shall be collected by AADF without visitors’ consent. One of our goals in collecting the above information is to help us monitor traffic on the website so that we can manage the website’s capacity and efficiency, for security purposes as well as to customize your user experience. This type of non-personal information and data can be collected through the standard operation for Internet servers and logs, as well as “cookies” and other technical mechanisms.

AADF website uses only necessary, performance and functional cookies which are essential for providing necessary website functionality, improve your experience and analyze our traffic.

When users of our website contact us for a relevant request, personal data provided through the following options are processed for purpose of being able to contact or respond the enquiry:

AADF will store and process such personal data only to the extent necessary for contacting the user and processing his/her request.

If any part of the website www.aadf.org links you to other websites (such as AADF partners’ websites), those websites do not operate under this Privacy Policy. AADF is member of several third-party community and social networks. It manages a presence on their platforms and our website contains links to these networks. These companies also process personal data, and you should check their privacy policies before sharing personal information:

The erasure of your personal data shall be subject to applicable laws and retention periods in accordance with AADF policies and procedures. If you have provided consent to the use of your information, you have the right to withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of AADF’s processing of the information prior to receipt of your request.

We use industry standards practices such as encrypted communication, firewalls and intrusion detection systems to protect the confidentiality of users’ personal data and help prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your information.
